c0cd1d19fd net/qed: allow old cards not supporting "num_images" to work
[ Upstream commit 7a0ea70da56ee8c2716d0b79e9959d3c47efab62 ]

Commit 43645ce03e00 ("qed: Populate nvm image attribute shadow.")
added support for populating flash image attributes, notably
"num_images". However, some cards were not able to return this
information. In such cases, the driver would return EINVAL, causing the
driver to exit.

Add check to return EOPNOTSUPP instead of EINVAL when the card is not
able to return these information. The caller function already handles
EOPNOTSUPP without error.

9e70c74f06 qed: Improve the stack space of filter_config()
[ Upstream commit f55e36d5ab76c3097ff36ecea60b91c6b0d80fc8 ]

As it was reported and discussed in: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/CAHk-=whF9F89vsfH8E9TGc0tZA-yhzi2Di8wOtquNB5vRkFX5w@mail.gmail.com/
This patch improves the stack space of qede_config_rx_mode() by
splitting filter_config() to 3 functions and removing the
union qed_filter_type_params.

d6343ad22c qed: avoid truncating work queue length
[ Upstream commit 954fd908f177604d4cce77e2a88cc50b29bad5ff ]

clang complains that the temporary string for the name passed into
alloc_workqueue() is too short for its contents:

drivers/net/ethernet/qlogic/qed/qed_main.c:1218:3: error: 'snprintf' will always be truncated; specified size is 16, but format string expands to at least 18 [-Werror,-Wformat-truncation]

There is no need for a temporary buffer, and the actual name of a workqueue
is 32 bytes (WQ_NAME_LEN), so just use the interface as intended to avoid
the truncation.

272ec48213 net: qede: use return from qede_parse_actions()
[ Upstream commit f26f719a36e56381a1f4230e5364e7ad4d485888 ]

When calling qede_parse_actions() then the
return code was only used for a non-zero check,
and then -EINVAL was returned.

qede_parse_actions() can currently fail with:
* -EINVAL
* -EOPNOTSUPP

This patch changes the code to use the actual
return code, not just return -EINVAL.

The blaimed commit broke the implicit assumption
that only -EINVAL would ever be returned.

d7f2fd59f6 net/qla3xxx: switch from 'pci_' to 'dma_' API
[ Upstream commit 41fb4c1ba7478fe34c7e094e124e4ee4513b9763 ]

The wrappers in include/linux/pci-dma-compat.h should go away.

The patch has been generated with the coccinelle script below and has been
hand modified to replace GFP_ with a correct flag.
It has been compile tested.

When memory is allocated in 'ql_alloc_net_req_rsp_queues()' GFP_KERNEL can
be used because it is only called from 'ql_alloc_mem_resources()' which
already calls 'ql_alloc_buffer_queues()' which uses GFP_KERNEL. (see below)

When memory is allocated in 'ql_alloc_buffer_queues()' GFP_KERNEL can be
used because this flag is already used just a few line above.

When memory is allocated in 'ql_alloc_small_buffers()' GFP_KERNEL can
be used because it is only called from 'ql_alloc_mem_resources()' which
already calls 'ql_alloc_buffer_queues()' which uses GFP_KERNEL. (see above)

When memory is allocated in 'ql_alloc_mem_resources()' GFP_KERNEL can be
used because this function already calls 'ql_alloc_buffer_queues()' which
uses GFP_KERNEL. (see above)

While at it, use 'dma_set_mask_and_coherent()' instead of 'dma_set_mask()/
dma_set_coherent_mask()' in order to slightly simplify code.

77b785c587 qed: Fix a potential use-after-free in qed_cxt_tables_alloc
[ Upstream commit b65d52ac9c085c0c52dee012a210d4e2f352611b ]

qed_ilt_shadow_alloc() will call qed_ilt_shadow_free() to
free p_hwfn->p_cxt_mngr->ilt_shadow on error. However,
qed_cxt_tables_alloc() accesses the freed pointer on failure
of qed_ilt_shadow_alloc() through calling qed_cxt_mngr_free(),
which may lead to use-after-free. Fix this issue by setting
p_mngr->ilt_shadow to NULL in qed_ilt_shadow_free().

Similar to skb_eth_hdr() introduced in commit 96cc4b69581d ("macvlan: do
not assume mac_header is set in macvlan_broadcast()"), let's introduce a
skb_vlan_eth_hdr() helper which can be used in TX-only code paths to get
to the VLAN header based on skb->data rather than based on the
skb_mac_header(skb).

We also consolidate the drivers that dereference skb->data to go through
this helper.

45db38edfb qed: fix LL2 RX buffer allocation

Driver allocates the LL2 rx buffers from kmalloc()

The required size allocation seems to have overlooked
